Citizen’s Advisory / Park & Recreation / Decorations Committee

1. This is a nine-member committee, which includes two city council members and the City Manager (or other member of the administration).

2. The citizens are selected at-large for staggered 3-year terms.

3. The committee meets once every other month on the second Monday of the month, usually at 6:30pm.

4. Meetings usually last 30 minutes to two hours.

5. Discuss a wide variety of topics affecting the city.

6. The committee is responsible for the following:

   1. Provide general recommendations to the City Council regarding the City on a broad scope of topics through an informed exchange of information.

   2. Provide recommendations to the City Council regarding the operation and maintenance of the City’s parks and decorations

   3. Prepares and updates the City’s five-year Park and Recreation Plan

7. This is purely an advisory group and cannot bind the city in any way by its actions.
