1. Where is the City's Compost Drop-off site and what are their hours?

The Public Works Facility located at 1500 Carter Drive Kingsford, MI. The hours are Monday through Friday (except on holidays) 7am - 4pm and on Saturdays (April to mid November) 9am to noon. 

2. Where can I drop off household hazardous waste?

Dickinson County Solid Waste Facility at W-7702 US 2, Breitung Township on the 2nd Tuesday of the month between 9am and 10am.

3. What are the office hours at the City Hall?

The City Hall office is open Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm. There is a drop box located at the rear entrance of the building that can be utilized for making payments after hours. 

4. When are annual assessment notices mailed?

The annual assessment notices are mailed in mid February.

5. When is the annual spring rubbish collection?

The date is posted on our website and published in the Daily News and the Advertiser. It generally begins in April.

6. How often are water bills mailed?

Water bills are generated on a monthly basis and mailed on or about the 25th of the month.

Bills are due on the 25th of the month. If the bill is not paid by the due date, a penalty fee will be added to the initial amount. 

Final bills - When an occupant is vacating a property, a moving date and forwarding address must be provided to calculate a final bill. Final bill payments are due within 15 days of the moving date.
